Before entering the Enlightenment Skill Pavilion, Valyr thought that the layout inside the pavilion would be similar to that time he went to Danyhris Town’s Blacksmith Guild branch to grab the blueprint for Upgrade Alloy. If he remembered how everything was laid out, the walls of the room were lined to the brim with bookshelves, while a large crystal that allowed him to access all of the Blacksmith Guild’s information could be found at the center.
He also thought that there was a possibility for the Enlightenment Skill Pavilion’s inside to be similar in layout to the Boundless Skill Pavilion. Unlike the layout in the Blacksmith Guild, there was no center crystal he could access to easily obtain skills. However, all of the skills were arranged into categories and sections, making it easier for him to find the specific skill he wanted.
With that, it was no surprise that the young man was left at a loss for words at the sight that greeted him as neither the Blacksmith Guild’s layout nor the Boundless Skill Pavilion’s layout was anywhere close to the layout before him.
“This is…” With a wide path at the center that led to a large pedestal where a murky crystal could be seen on top of it, the one story building was lined to the brim with murky crystals on top of pedestals, making Valyr briefly think that he had entered some sort of museum that housed precious crystals of varying types.
Though, after moving closer to one of these murky crystals to get a better idea of how everything was laid out, Valyr swiftly realized that the murky crystals housed the skills themselves, giving one a bit more information on the skill when one placed their hands on them. It was vastly different from the Boundless Skill Pavilion’s method of having multiple copies of the same skill in stock to make sure they could cater to any situation.
“I see.” Seeing that a confirmation prompt had appeared in front of his vision after he was done reading through the information contained within the skill crystal, Valyr released his hand from the crystal before proceeding to push his perception to the limit to get a rough idea of how many skills there were.
Though he was expecting the Enlightenment Skill Pavilion to have quite a lot of skills since it was basically where most of the people that had passed the Triad Gates’ trials would stay at, Valyr swiftly found out that there were only a few hundred skills within the pavilion in total, judging from the number of pedestals he could see neatly arranged throughout the large space.
Identifying the skills that were contained in each skill crystal, the young man also found out that the skills within the crystals were considerably better than the ones he could get from the Boundless Skill Pavilion. In fact, the lowest skill rarity he could find among the skill crystals was Common+, while the most precious skills had a rarity of Rare+.
“If the Enlightenment Skill Pavilion already has skills at Rare+ grade available, what rarity would the skill pavilions at the higher gates reach?” Allowing the thought to linger in his mind for a bit, Valyr eventually found out that there were quite a few skills in the pavilion that acted as a direct upgrade to some of the skills in his arsenal.
Though all of the skills he found in the pavilion that replaced his current skills were general purpose, the young man did not hesitate to swap them out, especially after seeing that he could take the skills for free with his authority level of 3.

By the end of his skill replacement spree, he had ‘replaced’ a total of over 20 general purpose skills to the same skill of the next rarity, something he would only have access to once he had ascended to Rank 4. However, he did not only limit himself to replacing his weaker skills for stronger ones.
He had also picked up a couple of skills along the way, with the first one being something he was surprised he had missed, while the other was something that had piqued his interest.

[You have obtained the passive skill ‘Advanced Magic Mastery’.]
Though he already had mastery skills that boosted his prowess in wielding spears, in wielding weapons, and in general combat, only after coming across the skill did the young man realize that he had overlooked the mastery skill for magic. Without even batting an eye, Valyr learned the skill after reading through its information, maxing out to Level 10 for the meantime.
[You have obtained the passive skill ‘Eyes of Enlightenment’.]
As for the second skill he had obtained from the skill pavilion, the information contained within the skill crystal had greatly piqued his interest, reminding of the ability [True Prodigious Blacksmith’s Sight] gave him in blacksmithing and the ability [Hunter’s Tracking Eyes] gave him in blacksmithing in combat. Then again, [Eyes of Enlightenment] allowed him to peer deeper into something that was neither blacksmithing nor combat.
Instead, it allowed him to peer deeper into the concepts of the world.

‘I’ll have to try it out with the other skills later,’ thought Valyr to himself, closing his eyes for a bit as he remembered that [Hunter’s Tracking Eyes] remained active until now. Deciding whether or not to deactivate it to give his eyes some time to rest, the young man eventually thought of keeping the skill up for now, considering that he and the others were still in the confines of the inheritance.
Seeing that he had more or less explored everything that the Enlightenment Skill Pavilion had to offer, Valyr slowly made his way out of the building in the hopes of heading to the building that was situated to the southwest. Though, just as he had stepped out of the skill pavilion, a familiar being had appeared at the center of the courtyard, the man eventually looking at Valyr with a surprised expression.
“Valyr?”
“Hal?”
